Ryan Nicholson — Creative Director

» EMAIL

Ryan Nicholson loves horror movies, plain and simple. Ryan started out in the film world as an award-winning make-up effects artist but writing and directing were always in his sights. After making the internet drip blood with his first short film “Torched”, Ryan focused on writing and directing his first feature length movie “Live Feed”. He has since gone on to write and direct all subsequent Plotdigger Films productions, including “Gutterballs”, “Hanger”, “Star Vehicle” and a host of projects currently in the works. “I make movies that I want to see”, Ryan says. “I can’t wait around for someone else to make them.” When asked about the ultra-violent content and excessive gore in his movies, Ryan had this to say, “I make ‘more is more’ horror.  I’m not of the school of thought that showing something off-screen is more effective than showing it on-screen. I like to show everything. I leave nothing to the imagination.” Looking at Ryan’s work, he is a man of his words!

Megan Nicholson – Head of Production

Megan Nicholson joined Plotdigger Films in 2011 as Key Make-up Effects on “The Profane Exhibit” and “Big Fucking Monster”.  Now a producer and head of production with Plotdigger Films, Megan is prepping “Transmitters” and most recently finished producing the PINetration limited edition dvd of “Gutterballs”.  Equally as depaved as Ryan, this marriage in life and art is truly a match made in the depths of Hell.

Jordan (J.R.) Boos is a jerk of all trades: screenwriter, web and graphic designer, comic book writer/artist and donkey-show coordinator. Since 2009 he has created a majority of Plotdigger’s logos, DVD covers, posters and advertising. He also contributes creative input such as screenplays (including the upcoming Alarming and Gutterballs 2: Balls Deep), comics, storyboards, in-film graphics and assorted art to Plotdigger and New Image Entertainment projects. John Carpenter’s The Thing ripped holes into Jordan’s brain when he was a child, and he’s been a depraved horror-loving monster ever since.
